Jonah Marks, 7BH, finished second in his 8th triathlon this weekend, competing in the Duchenne UK Triathlon at Eton Dorney.
He swam 200m, cycled 5.3km and ran 1.8km in 25:14 minutes.
Jonah started competing in triathlons in Year 4 at Sacks Morasha JPS. He ran for his school cross-country team and has previously competed for Barnet Copthall Swimming Club. Since then, he has also taken part in several duathlons (run/bike/run) and an aquathlon (swim/run). Last year, Jonah appeared in Triathlon 220 magazine, being the youngest of three generations to compete in a triathlon on the same day (along with his Dad and Grandma, who is still competing at the age of 72!) Together with his younger brother, Rafi, they have raised over £1000 for Chai Cancer Care, World Jewish Relief, and Restless Development through their challenges.
Jonah's heroes are the Brownlee Brothers and he would love to compete for GB when he is older.
Jonah wants to start a JFS triathlon club if there are any other pupils who would be interested in the sport.
