JFS celebrates record results this Summer reaffirming OFSTED’s judgement of the “outstanding” Sixth Form. 55% of results achieved were A*-A grades; a quarter of all grades were A*s – a school record even with the more challenging new linear A levels. 74 students achieved A*/A grades in three A levels – an increase on previous years despite a smaller cohort. The headline figure of 82% for A*-B is also the highest in recent years. The School is additionally proud of the results for our vocational courses: the CACHE course in which 100% of students achieved the equivalent of 3A*s and the Hospitality course in which 85% achieved a double distinction star (D*D*). Collectively, these results demonstrate JFS's continued commitment to a wide-ranging curriculum allowing all students to achieve outstanding outcomes and make exceptional progress.
JFS proudly announces that 13 students have secured their places for Oxford or Cambridge Universities. The overwhelming majority of students have achieved places in first class universities of their choice, these include 4 students who will be going to Medical School (1 to Oxford, 1 to Cambridge, 1 to UCL and 1 to Manchester).
Further to the 11 students who received 3A*s in the CACHE course, outstanding achievers include:
Daniel Bernbaum, Oli Solomons and Vitale Stone: 4A*s
Adam Lang: 3A*s and 1 A
Jesse Anthony, Jack Bergman, Nitzan Issler, Ilana Koffman, Jessica Mendall, Natalie Samuels, Zoe Sarankin, Rebecca Spagnoletto and Craig Stock: 3 A*s
Deborah Lipkin (Executive Headteacher), Simon Appleman (Headteacher) and Anthony Flack (Head of Sixth Form) are delighted by these excellent results. In a statement, they said:
“These results are exceptional and are testament to the hard work of all our students supported by their parents and staff. They reflect the “drive and passion” noted by OFSTED and ensure that our students are ready to move to the next stage of their life with confidence. This has been a record year of results and we remain very proud of all our students’ achievements”.
My warmest congratulations to you and all the teaching staff at JFS, but above all, to all of the students for their remarkable success in the ‘A’ level results. Please pass on to the students, to their parents and families my warmest congratulations on their outstanding achievement.
