Students and staff eagerly enjoyed an array of the fruits of Israel and more in order to celebrate the annual Jewish New Year for Trees. The addition of chocolate fountains this year made the JiEP-run event even more irresistible creating much excitement.

The PAJES Jewish School Awards is an annual event that celebrates the quality of teaching and non-teaching staff across all the Jewish Schools, primary and secondary.

Last night Mrs Lelanie Grobler (Head of Psychology) and Miss Geniece Watson (Year 11 PSO) who were shortlisted to the final three in their respective categories attended the final ceremony and we are delighted to share that Mrs Grobler was the winner for the “Excellence in Secular Studies in a Secondary School” Category.

The Royal Astronomical Society (RAS) award certificates to the 12 top-performing students in the country. This year candidates also entered an individual poster competition for cash prizes and the chance to present their poster at an RAS open meeting in Burlington House.

We are proud to inform you that Gideon Bernstein, Daniel Kalati Leboff (in photo below with their teacher, Mr Davey) and Matan Issler were recipients of the top 12 highest performing awards for GCSE Astronomy 2AS01 in 2017.

Well done to you all!

JFS Singers were delighted to once again perform at the Brent Holocaust Memorial Day last week at the Brent Civic Centre. Our students have performed at this annual event for the past few years and were pleased to be a part of such an important event. The choir performed a moving version of “L’dor Vador” which was most appropriate for the nature of such an event.

A group of Year 9 Dance students attended a qualifying competition against other schools in Brent to represent the Borough at the upcoming London Youth Games. The students performed excellently, and had a great time watching other schools perform their pieces. When it came to the feedback from the Judge, she commended the group on their performance, their own parts of choreography and the use of their costumes.
