Etgar Israel Quiz 2018

Dear Parent(s)

A visit to the Etgar Israel Quiz at London Shenley Cricket Club on 19 April is being arranged to enrich the Jewish Studies curriculum for Year 9 Lavi students. Miss L Rosettenstein will lead this visit.

Etgar fosters Jewish learning in primary schools through an inspiring, team-based inter-school quiz competition for Year 5 students. This year Etgar is piloting an Israel-themed event for Year 9 students, and we are delighted that Lavi 27 students have been chosen to be a part of this programme.

The aim of this event is to further develop a connection to the State of Israel by making the study of Israel and its history fun and relevant. The students received an Etgar Israel handbook during their time in Israel, and have been learning the material to prepare them for the quiz. This visit is taking place on Yom Ha’atzmaut- Israeli Independence Day- also giving the students an opportunity to celebrate this holiday with Jewish students from other schools in London.
