It is with immense pride that I am able to share with you the outcome of our recent Pikuach inspection that took place just after half term. JFS School has been judged outstanding in all areas for Jewish studies by the inspectorate. The inspection team highlighted that Jewish values are deeply embedded in the daily life of the school reflecting the new, dynamic creative vision set by the leadership for Jewish education at the school. They further commented that the outstanding teaching combined with the rich Jewish curriculum contributes to outstanding learning and achievement.
This judgement is an improvement from the previous inspection when the school was rated Good and reflects the positive changes that have been taking place across the school over the past few years and in particular in the area of Jewish life and learning.
What particularly stands out for me is the collective effort across the entire school community to assist these changes. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Jewish Studies team, both formal and JiEP who have led the drive for excellence. They are supported by the wider school staff and our governing body to ensure the best Jewish experience possible. Thank you is also extended to our students who made such a positive contribution throughout the inspection. To our parent body, thank you to the large numbers of parents who responded to the survey and who shared remarkable feedback about your children’s Jewish experience at JFS. Thank you to all our focus groups who gave of their time as well.
Please do take time to read the full inspection report. We look forward to developing our provision for students to make their experience even better.
