The Economics department invited Professor Len Shackleton to speak to 55 Year 12 and Year 13 Economics students about the ‘economics of migration’.
Professor Shackleton is a professor of Economics at the University of Buckingham as well as a fellow at the IEA. He covered many different aspects regarding the economic issues surrounding migration, including the question of whether internal migration (within the UK) would have the same economic impact as immigration from countries outside of the UK.
Following his presentation, there was a Q&A session which was very much enjoyed by students and staff alike.
