This week the Year 10 GCSE dancers had an opportunity to work with industry professionals from The National Youth Dance Company to learn ‘repertoire’ from a recent show and to create their own small group pieces. It was an excellent workshop, and a wonderful experience for the students.
This week our Head Boy and Head Girl team hosted the Senior Prefect teams from Immanuel College, JCOSS and Yavneh College for an Israel themed inter-school event. Today we took 30 Year 12 students to visit Magdalen College, Oxford University. Students took part in a Q&A with previously successful JFS alumni, David Launer, Eytan Brown and Zoe Burr. After winning the FA County Cup final a few weeks ago, Y9 student, Benji Ruckin and his football team, were successful in a second cup competition this weekend, winning the West Herts Youth League cup. They beat Harpenden Tigers 6-1 yesterday, with Benji putting in a player of the match performance.
