A highlight of the Year 9 Europe trip has been meeting Rabbi Harold Weil, the Chief Rabbi of Strasbourg. Rabbi Weil spoke about the history of the Jewish community of Strasbourg and inspired all the students, telling them that they are the future of Judaism. Year 7 students, Jonah Goodman, Ollie Serruya, Oli and Sam Gilbery-Phillips all performed impressively at the Maccabi Fun Run yesterday. They managed to complete the 5K in very good time. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm and how proud they were of their achievement.
The Year 10 Boys 5-A-side football team came first in the Maccabi tournament, undefeated. They managed to win 2-1, 3-1, 6-0 and having won the tournament already drew 3-3 in the last game. The team consisted of Anton Jaffe, Zak Diamond, Joseph Gordon, Tommy Canter and Fin Rose. Well done boys!
