Director and Writer Visit To JFS

Students studying A Level Drama, recently had the privilege of having the Director and Writer, Patrick Marber, visit JFS. This was organised for us by Michael Pollack (JFS Philosophy teacher), in his capacity as Advisor/Dramaturg on this production, who also arranged for us to have wonderful seats at the Wyndhams Theatre for the incredible production of Tom Stoppard’s latest semi-autobiographical play ‘Leopoldstadt’.

Patrick Marber was delightful, interested and eloquent in his responses to our talented students who asked searching and erudite questions that resulted in a half hour visit turning into an hour and a half, as he seemed genuinely pleased to be in the company of our finest students. He was equally impressed with the school itself and will be writing a future piece of work using spare JFS books, of which he asked for one in each colour, and will credit JFS stationery in his writings!

This was yet another value added capital culture moment at JFS!
