A group of 20 Year 12 students took part in a Dyson Foundation workshop recently, to find out more about engineering and apprenticeship opportunities open to them through The Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology. They also had the chance to try their hand at some robotics when they took on the ‘Robot Challenge’, in which they had to use their engineering, electronic and problem-solving knowledge. This was used to program a robot using Lego Mindstorms, so it could navigate through a house, avoiding obstacles along the way.
