Eli’s First National British Taekwondo Championship

Eli’s First National British Taekwondo Championship

Eli Reyhanian (red chest guard) has dedicated five years to practicing Taekwondo. Initially, Eli joined a class in Mill Hill where he trained in the ITF (International Taekwondo) style. Progressing through the ranks, Eli achieved a black tag belt, just one step away from obtaining a black belt. However, in the summer of 2022, a conversation with their father prompted a consideration of the most suitable Taekwondo style that would help him progress as he grew stronger.

Together, Eli and his father embarked on a search for a new class and found an Iranian class that resonated with Eli. This class focused on the Olympic style of Taekwondo (WT), presenting a significant departure from ITF. With a determination to improve, Eli decided to relinquish all previous belts and restarted his journey as a white belt. Currently, he has advanced to a green tag belt.

Preparations are underway for Eli’s first tournament, the national British championships, which will take place in Sheffield.

Great job Eli!
