Family members, staff, alumni and friends of JFS came to celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2023 Graduates of JFS School after a long break since Covid.
Our President, The Lord Levy, introduced our guest speaker, Mr Wes Streeting MP – Shadow Secretary of State for Health & Social Care, who gave over some inspiring words of encouragement to our graduates. Like Lord Levy, he managed to achieve his aspirations from a young age with grit and determination. Likewise, they both said that our graduates should be proud of who they are, especially their Jewish identity, and put all their efforts into achieving their aspirations, despite the antisemitism that is rife today. Mr Streeting then proceeded to make the presentations to the graduates.
As guests walked into the Main Hall, they enjoyed entertainment by Natasha Alexander in Year 10 on the piano followed by Ido Katzir in Year 13 who played a masterful piano piece in the Interlude.
Headteacher, Dr Moody, expressed his pride in the hard work and dedication of our graduates and applauded the support and effort of their parents and their teachers.
