On Friday 27th January, Holocaust Memorial Day, JFS hosted a Holocaust Seminar welcoming 120 students from eight different schools in Brent, along with 20 of our own Year 10 students.

The students met 99-year-old Auschwitz survivor Lily Ebert, and heard her amazing story of courage and survival. They learnt about the worrying trend of Holocaust denial and distortion and examined the role of bystanders in the Holocaust as well as in subsequent genocides. The day proved thought provoking for all participants.
