JFS Beat the Clock!

JFS Beat the Clock!

Last week 29 Year 7 students went up to King David School, Manchester to take part in the annual Jewish knowledge inter-school competition, Beat the Clock. These students gave up several lunchtimes over the course of this term to attend preparatory sessions with Jewish Studies teachers to cram for the competition.

We had four teams who competed against a total of 28 teams from King David, Yavneh Girls & Boys (Manchester), Immanuel College and Yavneh College (London).

Our students did brilliantly, with one team winning the entire competition, all having a fantastic time. There was a great team spirit among the students and King David prepared a wonderful itinerary.

Well done to all the students who took part and particularly the winning team, whose team spirit was incredible. All students represented the school impeccably and it was really impressive to see how some of our students voluntarily gave their spare food to homeless people outside Euston station. A very big thank you goes to Rabbi Karp and Mrs Brummer who led the trip.
