In the lead up to Mitzvah day, students enjoyed a full week of activities at school. We began the week with Odd Socks Day, whereby students were allowed to wear non-matching socks, donating the money to charity and raising awareness for Kidscape, a charity that provides support for Anti-Bullying.
As well as this, we had a week long food drive for the local food bank, in which students donated long-life food and toiletries. In Jewish studies classes, students learnt about the mitzvah of Bikur Cholim (visiting the sick) and made cards for patients in Great Ormond Street Hospital.
We had a great week raising awareness for the concept of giving, actively doing good deeds and raising money for charity.
