The Science department was delighted to welcome Lord Winston this week, who provided a fascinating insight into the history and development of IVF treatment, and the ground-breaking work of his laboratory team back in the 1970s.

Lord Winston added his thoughts on the nature of investigative Science, Science funding, collaborative work, personal resilience and the power and influence of Science for the world. He then fielded a series of varied technical questions from our Sixth Form Biology and Chemistry A Level students.
