World War II Veteran Speaks to Year 13 Students

With the culmination of the Second World War 75 years ago, veterans of the war have become scarce within recent years, their stories and their messages, having to be ‘passed on’ through the younger generations.

Having been truly privileged to listen to Mr Kersh this week, I was simply blown away by the fascinating insight into his remarkable life, and the unique story that he had to tell. Everyone (including myself) were gripped throughout the entirety of Mr Kersh’s address and we were ever so fortunate to witness such a phenomenal man in person. His sense of humour never failed to make us laugh and the message of ‘keeping strong’ that he posed to us is something that will stay with me throughout the entirety of my life. Thank you very much Mr Kersh for speaking to us, and thank you, for your service! – Sam Field, Head Boy.
