Year 12 Politics students went to the Houses of Parliament this week for the annual tour of the palaces of Westminster and the seat of UK democracy.
Owing to Parliament being currently suspended, we were extremely fortunate due to the upcoming election, as it meant we got a full tour of both chambers, the Royal apartments and even went to the voting lobbies in both Houses. The tour was a fascinating insight into the history of the building and the operation of Parliament and some students continued their learning by going over to the Supreme Court to hear a case too.
Many thanks to the Lord Levy who sponsored us to attend and to all the staff that helped on the day too.
